October 10, 2014 Two days ago it was again a drive up to Jax for blood work, CAT scan, genetic review and the oncologist. It’s been a great break for Batina the past two months since the surgery. But wait…I have to share this. Our appoint was for 7:00 a.m. which meant getting up at 5:00, out the door by 5:30 then drive half asleep. As we drove I looked out the window of the car and saw a partial moon. Wait! I know it’s a full moon. I just did my planting for the fall. Then NPR reminded me of the blood moon eclipse. I was able to follow, or it followed, for almost the entire eclipse during our 90-minute drive. It was thrilling. Batina blood count is good but there is a tumor on the outside of her liver. The doctor is again suggesting more chemo or maybe another kind of oral pill chemo. Another appointment next month to asses the growth. We came back home and Batina was off to the gym, again the following day and again this a.m. Amazing woman and an award winning artist. paintingsthroughlinda
