October is Down syndrome awareness month. I have been waiting for a video to post and this is the one! We are all individuals with unique characteristics, strengths and weaknesses. Down syndrome is no different - its just ONE unique characteristic. It does not define someone nor does it determine someones life trajectory. I challenge you to do something for Down syndrome awareness, watch this video, learn about Down syndrome, read a book about Down syndrome, hang out with someone who has Down syndrome, etc. I imagine a world in which everyone is valued, accepted and included regardless of any characteristic that they may have. Will you join me in raising awareness - just simply like my post so I will know. (No ice needed.)
