Drivin My Life Away. https://youtube/watch?v=_tvEvBUG8mY Love this tune. In the early, Urban Cowboy 80s I was working 5 nights a week as the happy hour music before the band started. Two hours a night, five nights a week, 35 minute drive each way. This was in the Sierras, at Bass Lake, south of Yosemite. I played to the same handful of locals, to tourists, and, over one Memorial Day Weekend, to the San Francisco and Oakland Hells Angels. I played there for months. Months!! The money, you know. Anyway Drivin My Life Away was on the radio a lot, and I used to scream out the chorus along with Eddie driving to and from the happy hour gig. For quite a while they had me sitting on a stool behind the cheap pink mini-baby-grand piano with a frosted plexiglass cutout of a champagne glass in its top. Backlit. And Im singing what I sing, Walkin Blues and Your Cheatin Heart, etc. Surreal. Also, in 1965 Author Ken Kesey and his band of Merry Pranksters hold the first Acid Test in San Francisco.
