Of all the great men of history, Jesus stands alone. Alexander the Great, Herod the Great, Catherine the Great, and others took the title great, but each pf them had a dark side to their character that mocked the title. While others have done important things, Jesus alone brought us grace and truth. Jesus stands alone. Plato was a great. Demosthenes was da Vinci. Beethoven was a great president, but Bach is remembered for similar greatness. George Washington was a great compassionate woman, but so was Mother Teresa. Tiger Woods is a remarkable golfer, but so was Bobby Jones. For every great and powerful person who has ever lived, there is someone whom we can argue was just as great. But Jesus stands alone. The name of Jesus stands alone in its prominence and position because he is the One who brought us grace and truth. Praise his name!
