Official Bayford Meadows Kart Circuit July meeting has not gone as planned. Fantastic quali P7 of 30 clubman karts. Started Heat 1 in 4th place and got a blinding start into P2, and briefly led the race. Dropped a couple of places and then had a spin! Doh! Got past the first back marker in turn 1 for that back marker to then T bone Matt in turn 2, sending Matt rolling. Result, impacted fracture of right wrist, few bruises, written off lid and a lot of damage to kart. Matt Hyde Karting wants to thank all for their messages of support - it means a lot to all of us! Shame the lad/dad involved were not amoungst those seeking us out to see how he was! Big thanks to all at Ambition Motorsport UK for support especially Simon Rudd for being taxi driver to hospital. Matt kept in hospital overnight ready for operation in the morning where they hope to straighten the break, insert plate/wire and re-cast it. He is fine in himself though. Weekend of firsts - 1st time to lead a clubman race, 1st roll over, 1st bone fracture!
