Official official. Lol Tarzan for all cast. The 3D Tarzan movie starring Skarsgård’s son, Alexander, is set to swing. The casting has now been confirmed, with Wolf of Wall Street’s Margot Robbie as Jane, Christoph Waltz as a Belgian soldier who tries to capture Tarzan in exchange for a ransom in diamonds, and Samuel L Jackson as the US Ambassador to the Congo. David Yates, who made the last four Harry Potter movies, will direct. Henry Cavill (Man of Steel) and Charlie Hunnam (Pacific Rim) were both considered for the part of Tarzan and Jessica Chastain was circling Jane, but Skarsgård and Robbie won out. With shooting due to start later in the year, Skarsgård, not surprisingly, is hitting the gym regularly to prepare for playing the loin-clothed one. The timing is good for what should be the Swedish actor’s major big-screen breakthrough, as his long-running role as True Blood vampire Eric Northman is coming to an end. From listener NZ
