Officially having a meltdown. Went to the dentist this morning where they told me they think I have trigeminal neuralgia, which is very rare in women under 30, and gave me a paper to have my doctor refer me to a neurologist. They told me to take the paper to my OB since I dont have a primary care doctor at the moment. Then they tell me I shouldnt be breast feeding with the medication Im on. I nursed Aria all day and night yesterday because the ER doctor told me it was safe as long as I waited 2 hours before I fed her after taking it. I talked to a lactation consultant and she said Its OK, and that even she would be comfortable breast feeding while taking it. Its just going to mess up my milk supply (which it already has. :/) so she said to start pumping a lot. So that was some unnecessary stress. We took the paper to my OB and they told me that Its required that my primary care doctor sends the referral out so I have to find a pcp. I call the one my insurance assigned to me and hes not even taking new patients right now. So I tried to get in with another doctor there and they said the soonest they could get me in was August 28th! So I called the primary care/walk in clinic at Brunswick station and they can get me in Wednesday. A lot better than the 28th, but I only have enough painkillers to last until 730 tomorrow morning... I dont know what Im going to do with no pain medication.
