In saner economies, minor Boko haram or fighting in volatile countries, you get proactive countries taking preventive measures, giving out travel warnings to its citizens and their borders tightened and flight from such countries put under surveillance to be double sure? Where was that action from our govt? No. They are busy jostling for the treasury and how to loot and control of the resources perpetually. We sent 73,000 security personnel to help change the course of elections to favour them, while our country was exposed to biological terrorism, which is killing us now, yet our people still dont point the accusation and failures at the right position. The govt knew and they failed us, period. You dont depend on other countries to help protect your own borders or country. I will recommend most or these mediocres to always watch Australian border patrol UK border patrol etc and understand how nations protect their countries from unnecessary contamination from outside. Until we mature enough and realise having a PHD doesnt necessarily entail efficiency or commonsensical approach or proper understanding of issues. We need to start identifying people who are visionary with thinking brains, people that can think into the future and not present.
