Ogdensburg, Clayton & Rome exploration from this past April. This video is shot on the south side of the Lansingkill, which is difficult to get to, involving several miles of hiking through Pixley Falls State Park, some stream jumping, some climbing, and some careful avoidance of very muddy spots. Its possible that you could wade across during the late summer drier season, but then everything would be obscured by leaves. Like other places along the OC&R, it is quite apparent that the railroad was never finished. There are a bunch of rocks sitting near where the abutment of the middle bridge was going to be constructed. And there is a long high fill leading up to the abutment site, with a big gap in it (this video is shot at the western end of the fill). Since there is level land on both sides, I am guessing that the farmer insisted that the railroad build a road and bridge so he could cross the railroads embankment. The bridge, of course, was never built. The video was shot right about here: mapper.acme/?ll=43.40190,-75.35882&z=15&t=T
