Oh! And I was given the number 6 so Im supposed to list 6 things about myself. Oh arent you all so lucky? 1. I learned how to knit and crochet when I was 18 for 2 reasons. 1: My biggest regret at that point in my life was not learning those skills before my Grandma Violet passed away. I really wanted her to teach me, but I had the attention span of a fruit fly. 2. I wanted something to do while waiting at doctors appointments with Grandma Elaine. I took her to the podiatrist every other Thursday and I wanted to keep my hands busy and still be able to have a conversation. 2. I originally started band in the flute section in 6th grade, but I couldnt get it to make any noise so they switched me to the clarinet. 3. My first job was teaching piano to elementary school kids. I didnt get paid a ton, but it was a very rewarding job and I loved it. 4. There are several words that I dont like to say because I dont like the way they sound when they come out of my mouth. Most are foods, but there are a few others here and there. Ill use other adjectives to describe things that I dont want to say. Its a little like playing charades sometimes. 5. Im very close to my family and sitting around the table in the kitchen of the house I was raised in is one of the highlights of my week when I have dinner with my parents. 6. I once ran over my moms clothesline and managed to get it back upright and no one was the wiser. My dad ran into it with the lawnmower and tipped it over again and he thought he had done it. I also ran over the back step and broke the wrought iron railing and managed to make that look okay without having to tell them anything. My dad leaned on it once and just about took a header into the garbage cans. He chalked it up to Menards selling us some bad stuff and I breathed a sigh of relief. Then one night, my mom came home from the store and she middle named me. I had no idea what I was in trouble for and she pulled out from her pocket an illustration complete with a stick figure with blonde hair in a poorly drawn Chevy Corsica running over a clothesline. My friend Adam had drawn the incriminating picture and gave it to my mom when he ran into her at the store. This was in 1998. My dad only recently found out what really happened. So I guess if you like this I can give you a number and you can do it too.
