Oh my goodness! Esther Van Wart, did you do this!!?? I was Mary Allen when I lived in Lafayette. Left there in 1982 when my second born Lee was born. Lived in Shreveport (home town) for a few years, then on to Janesville, WI, then Nashville, divorced there after 4 children, remarried a year later in the Atlanta Temple to Scott Royle. Lived in Dover, TN shortly, then back to Shreveport for 7 years, then Phelan, CA...and thought finally was going to stay in Newnan, GA forever (been here since 1999), but husband has just taken a job in Washington D. C., so will be moving soon. The Lafayette Ward was my first real ward home. I was just thinking the other day about a talk that Margaret Specht Hathcocks husband gave about the constitution and our liberties that was so superb and inspiring. Going through my Pile of remembrance I found the certificate that I had made for all of the Primary children to commemorate the first Sunday in the new building. I remember walking into the building earlier that week and watching JoLynne Flake and Natalie Edgar up at the organ. I will try and find some pictures from that era. Glad to be in touch!!
