Oh my ... just realised tonight that 40 years ago this month I was hired on at Mount Sinai Hospital. My entry into the union movement, my attaining employment stability, landing on my feet following a really dark and depressed period ... thank you to the late Johanna Radford, close friend and drinking buddy who was working in MSHs Human Resources department at the time! She came up to me at a fundraiser for the United Farmworkers grape boycott campaign and told me Dont drink too much, Ross, youre working tomorrow. (Now, Mt Sinai, you know whom to blame!)
