Oh shit!!! Tulsa is doing a trial passenger train servicing tulsa to Oklahoma city! They want to start in March and just see how it goes. It will be on existing tracks... we dont have tracks in downtown to serve this trial (yet) so they are going to have motor coaches take you from downtown to the station. Its going to take about three hours to make the trip, but keep in mind its a trial. Just to see if people will use it. They are very aware that three hours and having to take buses to the stations is just not acceptable. But if it works out and they give the go ahead to build a permanent system they will be building downtown stations and more tracks. The train will have wifi, coffee, first class cars, and some other cool stuff. I would LOVE this!! You know, okc has Amtrak. So if this works out, you can hop on the train in tulsa, go to okc, hop on Amtrak and go anywhere! Like los Angeles! :-) I can already see myself having a drink, and facebooking while I cruise cruise down the track. :-) So anyways get out there and ride this trial train. Support this! It will a good thing. Amtrak is wanting to expand in a major way. So if we show a strong interest in rail travel here maybe Amtrak will invest here. (Tulsa is a MUCH nicer city than OKC, a train system in tulsa would just be the icing on the cake)
