Ok - four hours later and we are home from the vets. I so totally believe in the power of positive thought - thank you all of you who sent them our way. We went from worried and concerned family/vet/vet tech to better and better news! The sonogram revealed no internal bleeding (whew). The blood work came back without serious concerns (whew). The diagnosis is a severe infection. He has been re-hydrated and shot up with pain-killers, antibiotics and an anti-nausea meds. He is home now. And I think it all just kicked in as he drank some water, kept it down, and wagged his tail for the first time in two days (whew). We are hoping for more of this behavior in the next 12 hours! Thank you all for your positive thoughts, energy and prayers!
