I wrote a song years ago about the Cuban Revolution titled “When Castro Came Down From The Hills.” Why the Cuban Revolution you may ask? I don’t know. Maybe it was too many Hemingway books or seeing The Godfather Part II too many times. Anyway it is a narrative about an American falling in love with a Cuban woman played in 6/8 time with piano, a ton of percussion, and a hot trumpet solo. It is a total departure for me and I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I did recording it. Thank you so much.
