Ok! Friends and Family (especially Napky Karabekian Francesca Alvano Penny L Arrowood Mychael J. Smith Anna Kolchenkova) You know that I am not a stylish girl. I call upon you my stylish friends to help me! What exactly should I be shopping for??????? Dress Code In Korean society, teachers have always been placed on a pedestal. Koreans frequently have the impression that well-dressed and well-groomed people are more intelligent, hard working, and more socially acceptable than those with a more casual appearance. The image that you present to students and parents is therefore very important. Formal wear such as a suit and tie for men, would obviously be inappropriate for our style of instruction. However, the image you present should be of a professional educator. The way you dress reflects not only on yourself, but also on your school. The guidelines are, therefore, that you should wear casual clothes that are neat, clean, and in good condition – as presentable as possible. The following are not allowed to be worn at school: blue jeans ; T-shirts with profanity, graphics, or any other offensive material; shorts of any kind; short skirts; low cut shirts (cleavage baring); tank tops; halter tops; tube tops; backless tops/ dresses; bare midriffs; sweat shirts; sweat pants; overalls; baseball caps; hats; low-cut pants; sneakers or tennis shoes; sandals or slippers (flip flops, beach sandals, sport sandals). ※ Afternoon teachers can wear jeans on Jean Day which is on the 3rd Friday of every month. However, you should look nice and neat while you wear your jeans. Note: Jeans with holes or ripped jeans are not allowed. ※ Morning teachers can wear jeans on Field Trip Day and P.E. Days. Teachers wear indoor shoes or low shoes at SLP. Teachers wear low shoes or sneakers on Field Trip Day. Note: Jeans with holes or ripped jeans are not allowed.
