Ok, I am starting an exercise accountability group for those of us who are most definately NOT in good shape. A few in good shapers may join because we need your insight. Like if you want to do this. I need help, and all the groups I am with are young and already strong and in shape. I am recruiting the I had my knee / shoulder replaced and have gained too much weight and want to have some encouragement along the way. Slow and steady wins our race, so if you are in, like this and Ill tell you the rest then. For this week, I was going to do squats, but, I think we will start with drinking 8 glasses of water and abdonminal bracing. Do it twice a day. The key is to pretend you are doing a keigel and then do the exercise. Old school is to flatten your back to the floor. New school is the neutral spine for exercise, and the pretend keigle is the best way to explain it. It takes focus at first but will kick into muscle memory, real fast, so no worries if it takes all you have to focus on it. The goal is to build core strength together from scratch. After that, well decide how to take it to the next level. Lets go. Today and tomorrow one set 15 braces. Let your breath out and slowly lower after you bridge up.
