Ok I need some help on kitchen.. Final kitchen renos about to start... and that thing is dead! Overheads are going in the last week of January. That horrid vinyl is coming up and floors are being polished. Now this is where I need advice... as the fridge sticks out and there is not much pantry space I am thinking. 1. Move fridge to where the timber bookshelf is (where the dead fish is) and have a floor to ceiling cavity made for it so that it will actually take a larger sidebyside fridge with drink dispenser in it. Then the laundry can be made bigger. Will this be odd having fridge and laundry beside each other? (Note: laundry can not be moved this is where it has to stay) 2. Where the fridge is currently, build another pantry with a microwave shelf. What are your thoughts? The current plan is leave fridge where it is a build a floor to ceiling storage cupboard where the timber bookcase is. But Im really liking the idea of the fridge being in a cavity so its neat. I hate fridge where it is now. Looks stupid. We are also making a kitchen island that is moveable out of recycled stuff. As it can only be narrow & about 1mt long. What you think? Hard working with an odd space.
