Ok. So I just had a crazy idea....Captain Janeway violated just about every regulation Starfleet ever had including the prime directive. So it follows. That she would likely have been locked up for her many violations. And I just figured out where she was put in prison. Somehow right after Voyager returned to the alpha quadrant the ship was pulled into a temporal vortex which was a residual effect of the Borg transwarp conduit. The ship was catapulted back to 2009 and crashed in the oceans of earth. Captain Janeway was arrested by the authorities of the time for some crime (of course a misunderstanding) and was placed in a federal prison. She called herself Red and became the cook of the prison....just an idea I had lololol
