Ok before I get into this, I want to say fair play to Hull. They had a game plan and they stuck to it and made us pay for some shocking performances. First up I wanna talk about the back 4. Everyone is shouting about playing Agger and Sakho on Wednesday. Let me enlighten you. Toure and Skrtel were our best players today. Toure was everywhere! Mainly covering for Glen Johnson who was not only shocking but absolutely had me seething! He was constantly out of position. Was beaten ever single time and forever gave the ball away. And not just today. Hes been bad all season. I really hope the Montoya rumors are true! Ok Skrtel. Again like Toure had a good solid game. Anyone blaming him for the own goal needs to really think that over. Huddlestone was in a prime scoring position and had shot at goal. No one knows if its on target at that point and he did what any self respecting defender does. Gets his head on it. Just unlucky that it ended up in the net. Just as Livermores deflected shot did. Flanno had Steady game. Nothing spectacular. I do think he does get beat a little easy on the turn but again Im picking. Midfield. Where do we begin? You all know my thoughts on Lucas Leiva and if you still cant see what Ive been on about in the past few weeks then youre either blind or deluded. Stevie did what he could today but was restricted by the players around him. Hes forever covering Lucass mistakes and tried to do the box to box thing but he hasnt the engine anymore but thats not a criticism. Thats a tip of the hat to the captain for trying to be everywhere even though he cant. Henderson like Gerrard was restricted. Forever found himself passing the ball backwards because of the options being limited up front. Sterling and Moses were as much use as a chocolate teapot! Im sorry but Moses has been really disappointing. I had high hopes for him coming in but I dunno how many times today he was in a superb position and did nothing. Then when he got help from hendo he didnt make any runs to help him. Added to the fact that he could score in a brothel even if he had a twenty pound note hanging out of his shorts. Raheem sterling again just tried to run past everyone and failed. Definitely not the player he was this time last year. Both him and Moses had the chance to show themselves with the absence of Sturridge. On this performance I wouldnt have them anywhere near the team. And lastly Suarez. Again Im hearing people shouting he was terrible. A striker can only work off what is fed to him and the supply was bordering on nothing at all. Moses and sterling just havent got the brain to make the runs or play the balls that Suarez needs. He definitely missed his strike partner today. Coutinho and Alberto coming on didnt have much of an effect either. So Im not gonna comment on them. Today was Probably our worst performance of the season. In fact it was definitely our worst!!! People will blame Rodgers for team selection or whatever but the blame lies with players that really should have beaten Hull today. And dont give me any of that crap about we cant win them all. If we want to be pressing for the title and top four we should be putting these teams to sleep. Really need some reaction from the team midweek!! Weve been talking the talk from the start of the season. Now is the time to walk the walk!! YNWA #Christian
