Ok drama over ........having done lots of research regarding puppy and dog food, I eventually settled on a German organic complete food :Markus Mühle NaturNah as it apparently difficult to get it in uk and only a few specialist pet shops stock it, being me I ordered 30kg due to the malarkey involved getting it sent from Germany, and the reviews for it were excellent only criticism was the packaging, which looks like compost. Well it arrived yesterday and the delivery driver needed resuscitation after carrying it in to the house. I couldnt wait to give Sacha her next meal and watch her woof it down as she eats anything.... Well heres the thing, come lunch I give a little to see how she goes..... Oh yea she takes it but one by one goes God knows where to eat it, then comes back for another nugget (some of the pieces are quite big, but I thought good for her teeth), this goes on for a few more trips, then she had enough, which is out of character as she would eat everything I would put in front of her. Then she goes outside and has a poo....when I say poo I mean....eagh a real wet one. As it happened so soon after her meal I thought perhaps it was the horses poo she was interested in at the park. After she had a snooze we met a friend and her puppy in the park, and had a wild time but still her poo was very wet. Got her home ,after a while she was really sick and then again later. I immediately went into James Herriot mode and boiled some rice and chicken, and made some chicken stock with the remnants of the chicken, when it was cold, I thought I try her with little bits of it ...thank god she woofed it down. Anyways I was concerned that she had brought up so much, that she would be really hungry so just before bed I gave her some really moist rice chicken stock to rehydrate her. I woke up really early and took her for a walk and all her business was back to normal, and she played happily in the park, and when I came home gave her her morning breaky and she was fine. So message to self is dont be such a dick and change her food so suddenly, do it gradually, just cos she appears to want to eat everything her gorgeous little pink tummy doesnt like it. Just thought Id share, but I am so relieved as I am so soppy about her.
