Ok everyone, heres the big info post on the round 5 racing, finals round at Canungra. 1-SATURDAY PRACTICE AND NIGHT TIME. As you may have seen by now you cant enter for Sat practice online. Saturday 9th august is a pay on the day practice round. The day will be run in the same way as out open days are held. Self shuttles are preferred and your cheapest option, however we will have our trailers running for those who cant get in a crew, however all 4 wont be running till later in the morning when the extra vehicles turn up but 2 will be on the go to start. For those that dont know we are running the new track not the one raced last year. So its $20 self shuttle, $40 on our trailers and day licenses are $10 as and where required. Saturday practice timings are 0800hrs to 1630hrs approx. Camping is available on the Saturday night for those with a long drive at a charge of $10 per head. There will be a big ass fire, probably some beers and knowing DHers a whole load of bullshit being thrown around. We are going to light up the pump track Saturday night and have some fun and maybe some small races so bring along the small bikes if you feel like some extras and we may have some prizes. We will also be providing basic shower facilities with hot water for those staying over on Saturday night to make it all a bit more comfortable, but be warned it will be basic, but its better than being rubbed down in cow shit. unless of course you enjoy that sort of thing. 2-SUNDAY RACING Last year people complained they did not get enough shuttles, this is despite the shuttles sitting empty for 40minutes first off. Shuttles will run from 0730hrs. As we rely on other people lending us vehicles etc, first up there may only be 2-3 vehicles going and when we get more we run them, just like every where else. (except beeries) On that very note ANYONE who can lend us a vehicle for Sunday it will be greatly appreciated and you will be compensated with cash from the club. We also require volunteers to assist with rego, marshalling and cooking snags and I need someone to open my beer for me throughout the day. ANYONE who can help please contact the club. Race timings are as per the standard calendar and we will run shuttles as long as we can but the timing guys impose limits on us. 3- PRIZE GIVINGS AND RAFFLE. Normal prize giving will commence straight after racing, then as we slowly work out the overall placing s there will be some giveaways and the raffle draw. Be advised people we have some big prizes in the raffle so dont be shy at buying tickets. where else could you get a DH frame for a $5 layout, and with heaps of other great prizes to be won you need to get amongst it. Finally peoples, this is the last round and STH.DH.INC wants to make a bloody good event but as always we need your help, to pull it off well, we need vehicles to use, people to drive them marshals, raffle ticket sellers blah blah blah, so racers lets try to get mums and dads, girlfriends and boyfriends mates brothers and sisters lets see if we can get them to help out in any way possible and make this a blast of a weekend. any questions please ask See you down there.
