The artifact is kinda like a fat knife if looking down at it from the top but it is not sharp it is rounded the full length.It appears to have a mineralike crust in one spot tha looks like iron not sure. the groove in top is kind of irregular definetly done by hand not on a round grindstone. The material is not heavy like granite it is lighter but still quite dense. One elderly person in our area has been collecting for decades and he was stumped. He said Native made thought material was carried here noy from our area and thought it could be a ceremonial piece worn around the neck.Its not sharp like a plumbob nor is it perfectly round.
