Ok, here it is……. The Calm before the storm! Saturday - TopicsExpress

Ok, here it is……. The Calm before the storm! Saturday morning was a pleasant morning, M2 woke up early as normal however he didn’t wake his brother WIN!!! He came into my room, climbed up into my bed gave me a kiss and cuddle and said “good morning mum, I love you” Cue the cuteness!!!!!!!! We watched Scooby doo in bed until M8 woke at 8:30am, massive sleep in for him. M8 helped make pancakes, M2 set the table and so far it appears like the perfect day. I even sent my girlfriend a message “I feel like this is the Calm before the storm, LOL” to which her response was “Be afraid, be very afraid”. M2 had make up swimming classes on both Saturday and Sunday scheduled for 11:30am, I prepared M8 that he would be sitting beside the pool watching his brother, then we would go to the kid’s splash park after his lesson finished. So far so good…. Lesson finished, kids played in the splash park, $25 later spent on hot chips, a sausage roll and two drinks and it was now 2pm and we were heading home. Both kids tired, its shower time and movie time in the lounge. Shower time is an epic fail, as M2 slips and falls over M8’s shoes in the bathroom and has no reason to hold back. Before I could even say “No”, his lightning fast responses defeated me and he picked up the shoe and threw it at M8 who was sitting with his back to him in the bath. l cannot condone M2’s reactive behaviour, however it was a thong and I suspect it was the shock rather than the pain inflicted that caused M8 to have his award winning performance, holding his head, whaling in pain (not a tear in sight) screaming “MUM, M2 cracked my head open”!!!!!! M8 out of the shower, still holding strong with his performing character pushes M2 as he walks past him. So here is the picture for those playing at home; M8 crying and angry outside the bath M2 crying and angry in the bath Mum, thinking back to the message this morning “Be afraid, be very afraid” She was right….. The remainder of the afternoon consisted of; “Mum, he touched me” “Stop it” “Don’t, don’t, DON”T I said DON’T” “That’s mine” “I had it first” “I’m telling mum” “Go away” and my favourite of the afternoon from M8, he came into the kitchen whilst I was making tea (rocking back and forth in the corner), “Mum, that’s it, I have had enough of M2. I’m done, I need a break I need to go away. I’m going to my room and I am locking the door”, unbeknown to M8, M2 was standing behind him listening to the whole conversation. M2 decided that he would beat M8 to the punch, and he ran off down the hall “No, I’m going to the bedroom” to which M8 took off after him. So the night looks like this, M2 has barricaded himself in the bedroom, M8 is declaring how unfair his life is at the kitchen table, and M3 soon to be is kicking the life out of me from within, no doubt screaming “What am I coming out too??”. Fast forward, its 7pm M2 is fast asleep, M8 and I are having a cuddle on the couch reading and he says, “Sorry about today mum, tomorrow will be better” bless his heart!!!!! Sunday morning I woke to the feeling of ground hog day, and I instantly had a nervous feeling about how the day would play out!!!!! The honest mama.
