Ok, lets try a regular update again. The human is still far from ok, but theres so much to tell! After Dushi came home yesterday, a load fell of the humans heart. She was so terribly worried. She was afraid Dushi was so angry with her for taking Herman home, she wouldnt come back. By now the human thinks there may have been another reason for Dushi staying away so long. The human thinks something may have happened to her. Dushi only has 3 fangs, but 1 of them is loose now. She eats kibbles as normal, but the one fang sometimes points one way and sometimes another. Also Dushi nails look messy. The human checked Dushi all over and could find any wound or painful spots, but the nails and the fang are suspicious. The human will keep a very close eye on Dushi now and if she notices anything more suspicious, or the fang doesnt come out by itself, shell go to the vet with her. Its harder to judge Dushis behavior now, because of Herman, but the human knows her well enough to know whats ok and whats not. Dushi stayed upstairs in the catroom all evening yesterday and when the human went to check her, she wasnt in her cat bed in the closet, or on the windowsill or little cat tree, where she usually sits, but on one of the litter boxes! Thats odd. Dushi didnt come to snuggle on the bed either last night, but Herman was there, so thats understandable. Dushi does not like Herman a bit. She hisses when she even sees him, and not just when he gets close to her. But she doesnt do anything else to him, and thats good. Hissing is ok. And Herman seems to get the message and doesnt try anything with her. This morning Dushi did come to snuggle on the humans lap and the human was very happy about that. Shes now napping on her pillow on the cupboard. Jinx was waiting for breakfast this morning as usual. He doesnt get as much snuggles and attention from the human now, cause shes lying down and napping so much. But she will always give him his food and fresh water, and check if everything is ok with him. Herman is feeling pretty much at home already. This little fella adjusts fast! He played with just about every toy we have (and theres a lot!) and he lay on almost every spot already too. His favorite spot to nap so far is my hammock. His favorite toy is... He doesnt have one favorite. He likes many of them. Its funny how he does seem to prefer the toys that both Dushi and I dont like, although he is kinda fond of my elastic string too. He can play by himself very well and I enjoy watching him while he plays. Last night the human witnessed his first attempt to play with me. I lay on the bed next to the human when he spotted me there. He sat on the humans leg and the human could feel him buttwiggle. And then he jumped towards me. Jumped away right away too, but that was a very brave act of him. And I did nothing! Not one hiss! The human was very proud of me and thinks well be playing together within a week. Wouldnt that be fun! And me? I nap on the cat tree a lot now. Herman already has been half way up there already, so I retreat to the top level when I want my peace and quiet. When the human lay on the couch with a blanket yesterday, I snuggled on her belly and napped with her. She really liked that. For a while Herman and I snuggled with her at the same time. Me on the humans belly and Herman on her (good) arm. Since the human will lie on the couch a lot again today, Ill probably snuggle with her again too. But as long as Im not completely used to Herman, I prefer the cat tree when I really need a undisturbed nap. The humans pain still isnt any less and as long as that is the case, I cant promise anything about when, or how long Ill be online. Typing is a real problem for her, cause she cant hold up her left arm. This post took her almost an hour. She hardly slept last night again and is very tired, so shell probably nap a lot on the couch again today. She has an appointment with her doctor next week, but its only thursday. If the pain isnt any less tomorrow, shell call the doctor and try to make a new, earlier appointment. So I guess today is another lazy sunday again and as you all know by now, I like lazy days.
