Ok people heres the deal ... No one alive today was ever a slave nor was anyone alive today directly effected by the pilgrims settling here . I agree slavery was a horrible thing as was what the Europeans did to the Natives im not asking anyone to forget what their ancestors went through but nothing you or i do today will change what happened all those years ago . Protesting a supreme court decision by burning buildings and looting businesses in the name of slavery is ridiculous just as ridiculous as saying you have nothing to be thankful for because your ancestors were here first and were forced out by settlers you mean to tell me that because of that you are not thankful for the things God has blessed you with because of something that was not done to you , you cant take a day to thank God for all he has given you that you dont have a family or friends who love you that you were not blessed with beautiful children a house to live in and food to fill your belly ??? Are those things not enough for you to be thankful ? Look i get it i really do alot of our ancestors were treated horrifically .. mine were forced out of their homeland with their homes and everything they knew burned to the ground because they would not exalt king james before God himself . My louisiana native ancestors were called man eaters because idiot spanish explorers went into the swamps and the gators ate em cant find the gators so o yeah the natives ate em my cherokee ancestors were forced to state their race as black dutch because they could have been killed for claiming their heritage I GET IT and its bad but as bad as it is it didnt happen to me so i will celebrate this Thanksgiving and every other one that im alive to celebrate because i truly thank God for my family , my home, and each and every one of you.
