Ok so, stay with me on this one. So there is this guy I know who is a bear. He is ok looking, has a certain appeal as he has many of the bear stereotype traits but generally he is just a nice guy who no one can really say anything bad about. This friend as we will call him has lived in an area going on 10 years but really has lived rather anonymously in the community. Everyone knows OF him but most dont actually KNOW him. Now that he has decided to leave the local area people seem to be coming out of the woodwork in the local community to be friends with him and actually get together. The question this unnamed friend has is: is it an ironic coincidence or is this the way things generally go because its safe to friend them now that there will be no future commitments or consequences?
