Ok so this goes out to all comic book shop workers, If a grown - TopicsExpress

Ok so this goes out to all comic book shop workers, If a grown woman walks into your store and asks for a specific book, I dont know say Gambit, do not under any circumstances assume you know what she will like better and do something stupid like tell her she will like the My Little Pony comic books better. Clearly the woman knows what she wants. Also do not ASSUME she is reading Gambit because she thinks he will look like Channing Tatum. Not all of us are thrilled with this casting. Some of us were introduced to Gambit in the 1990s and liked the devilish rogue since we were little girls playing Ninja Turtles with our friends. Do not assume because my daughter is all frou-frou-ed up and in a cute little pink car that I am not capable of grasping a complex character like Gambit or that the storyline is beyond me. Your insinuation that My Little Pony is an acceptable substitute for Gambit is an insult to me and Gambit. While your intent was to question my comic book cred all it did was cast suspicion upon you dear sir. Back to my original point. Girls can and do read comic books. I have NEVER experienced anti-girl comic fan prejudice the way I did today. I got my Gambit vol 1. If someone wants to find 2 and 3 for me that would be awesome because I dont want to have to go My Little Pony on another comic book shop worker.
