Ok, this is december first. The start of the Christian advent. The 25 days till the birth of Jesus. To me, advent is not opening cute wee doors to get a chocolate every day. To me, as a Christian, it is a time where i reflect even more about the important virtues of christianity. Some of the most important ones to me are not judging, even when one is judged, not hurting anyone including yourself, and spreading love and joy instead of hatred and sadness. If you follow these, your life is happier and the world is less dark. I also reflect on life itself. The deaths of those i love are only deaths in the physical realm. They are in Heaven, and protecting me from there, instead of on earth. Life is fragile, like the ephemeris wings of a butterfly. It is easy to let the weight of the world crush your wings, but wings are made to make you soar, high above the pain, to the beauty and peace that actually lies within you, should you only look.
