Okay - this is kind of fun. If you liked your holiday gifts, you write thank you notes. If you didnt you probably are whining! haha! NATIONAL THANK YOU NOTE DAY National Thank You Note Day is recognized annually on December 26. It is a day to get a notepad, some note cards, some paper or anything to write on along with a pen, some envelopes and stamps and write special thank you’s for the gifts that you received. Taking the time to thank family and friends with personalized message has special meaning and the receiver of the “thank you” will enjoy getting the card in the mail and the message that you have written. Today to celebrate, join the millions of others across the country, that are busy with a pen in hand, thanking others for the gifts that they were given during this holiday season. Never underestimate the power of “THANK YOU” NATIONAL THANK YOU NOTE DAY HISTORY Our research was unable to find the creator and origin of National Thank You Note Day, an “unofficial” national holiday. National Whiners Day December 26 National Whiners Day December 26 NATIONAL WHINERS DAY Today, if you want to, you are allowed to whine about… being too tired, over eating, having to go back to work, having so much to clean up, the long lines in the return aisle at the store and etc. as it is National Whiners Day, which is celebrated each year on December 26. There is one thing that the creator of this day had hopes that the people across the country would not be whining about; today is not intended to whine about what you did not get for Christmas and what you do not have but to remember all that you do have. There are many people that are less fortunate; some are struggling to put food on the table or a roof over their heads, some may not have family and friends, some may not have had one gift under the tree, some may be fighting disease and illnesses and some may have all of these. You may want to whine about something (and today you are allowed) but remember to be thankful for each gift you did receive and all that you do have. (and help others when you can) NATIONAL WHINERS DAY HISTORY Rev. Kevin Zaborney created National Whiners Day in 1986 in hopes of encouraging people to be thankful for what they have instead of being unhappy “whining” about what they do not have.
