Okay. Confession time: I cant get the latex to work. All my respect for people who craft latex clothing, cause this aint easy. Ive spoken with a few latex clothing designers and I think I bought latex that was too cheap, so the glue-bonded seams just arent sticking properly. I dont have the money to buy 7 yards of good quality latex...so Im going to go with hand-dyed wet look spandex. It wont be accurate, but itll look good. In fact, I dont think many people will even notice a difference, visually...and if someone does and calls me out on it, well, theyre jerks. Plus, and most importantly, I will be sooooo much more comfortable and mobile in a fabric that will breathe. I was frankly dreading being in a full length latex dress and prosthetics in Hotlanta in August. Since Im such a stickler for accuracy I was feeling oddly guilty about this decision (thus the confession), but in the end I think this is for the best. :)
