Okay, I typically try to avoid publishing complaints on Facebook - TopicsExpress

Okay, I typically try to avoid publishing complaints on Facebook but get this. I asked my mother about an email request that I sent to her. She told me that she had responded on July 29. I said I hadnt received it. In the meantime, I followed up with a couple of other people from whom I was awaiting an important response and another one told me that they sent me an email on July 29 and I hadnt received it. I sent an email to my ISP explaining the situation and asking them if they could somehow pull any July 29 messages that were sent to me off their server back into my mailbox. Their support center sent me a message letting me know that I could recover deleted messages for up to seven days ago. (Note, my query was not about deleted messages.) When I let them know that wasnt what I was trying to do and explained my problem again, they suggested that if I hadnt received emails that I should get in touch with the sender to see if they had received a bounce back. Um, if I didnt receive the email, how would I know that it had been sent to me so that I could contact them? I think most people have dozens of people, services, newsfeeds, etc. that they receive messages from on a daily basis. How could anyone ever begin to follow up with everyone? I deplore poor customer service especially if the provider is lacking intelligence. Anyway, if you happened to send me an email on July 29, Im pretty sure that I didnt receive it.
