Okay... So I am at my office late working... Multi Tasking... paperwork... updating client training files... and watching the The Bachelor As this is one of my favorite shows.... there is something that has been bugging me... and I am embarrassed to state this...but it is really under my skin... so I shall get some feedback. Question: Why is it that we have yet to see a person of color in the primary position in the Bachelor or Bachelorette ... when I refer to person of color I am not referring to those of Latin/Hispanic America decent, European Spanish, or Filipino... as it seem that they are not classified by this by our mainstream media. I am referring to African, African American, Latin of African Decent, Asian of Oriental decent, Pan Asian, Mideastern Decent etc... I am sure you see my point. I dont get it as I have dated every race..and I dont get the color thing. The other day... I had of my clients say to me that she could never date someone that was African American... as this person is a wonderful individual.. it shows me that even wonderful people have racial bias and hangups... and that we have not really moved forward.... so is the TV show a representation that we really have not moved forward with this... does beauty not come in all shades...???? this saddens me.
