Okay. Status report. Have secured crutches, fancy wheelchair with elevated leg lift, knee walker complete with handle bars and brakes, ice packs, bean bag, cast protector, pain meds, food in freezer, etc. Outpatient foot surgery scheduled for Tues. morning at 8:00 at Providence. Then 8 weeks in a non-walking cast and no driving. The first two weeks I will be in the bed with foot elevated to eye level and constant ice packs. It all sounds rather grim. We practiced today getting me from bed to bathroom and shower using crutches and knee walker. I was exhausted! Poor Robert!
