Okay Yall. Im sitting at the airport and my flight doesnt board for another hour and a half. Im so tired/sore/emotional/ecstatic about tonight (last night?). I keep thinking about it and tears well up in my eyes from happiness. Everyone of you, thank you so so so damn much. I cant express how grateful and dedicated I am to you guys that come out every month and support this little baby of mine. I do this for you guys! YES YOU! It means so much to me when I see even a single person get up and choose to dance rather than anything else. Dancing is always a choice. There are times when its a hard choice to make. And sometimes it is okay to chose to stay home and sleep (says the girl that hasnt slept for 21 hours) or relax and binge watch Orange Is The New Black. But as long as we keep making the choice to dance your life will be better for it. Please keep making that choice. It doesnt just affect you, but also your friends that want to see you out dancing and the community when they see you out dancing, and me! I love it! Everyone was so so incredible tonight I cant even begin to express how happy you all make me just by showing up and having a smile on your face. Thats all that matters, that we go through life with a smile on your face. I know dancing can bring that to everyone, you just gotta block out the haters, you know? Cause haters gonna hate. Its 5:20 in the AM now and Im slightly delirious, but my love for all of you is undeniable! I love all of you guys! SO SO MUCH! Big big big thank you to Jonathan Stout for being like the best human being/musical superhero on the planet. I dont know how you do it, but you kill it every time, no matter the time/place/people. You have a special gift and we are all so lucky to get to experience it so often here in LA. I amd beyond grateful for everything you do for not only me, but for the whole community. You, sir, are an inspiration. Josh Collazo, Wally Hersom, Luca Pino, and Dan Weinstein. You made a lot of people happy tonight! A huge thank you to Tise Chao who organized the whole contest! It was a huge job and Im so lucky to have her as my friend who supports me all the time, way above and beyond what is necessary. Thank you to all the Judges! Augie Freeman, Chris and Beth Grover, Denise Paulino Phelan, and Jacob Wigger. They are incredible dancers and we are all so lucky to have access to them like we do. A special thanks, again to Tise and Augie for teaching a really really fun class like no one else can! A real treat! The effin phenomenal volunteers! Melissa Marzigliano, Dustin M. A. Norton, Anthony Juarez, and Michael Bond. You guys are unstoppable and I have no idea how any of this would even be remotely possible. The incredible Dave Welch and goofiest dude Reuben Sosa for taking the coolest, more fun, most bestest photos if all time! I love you guys! You make it all real for the rest of the world to enjoy. And also every single one of you! Thank you so much! Seeing people laughing on the dance floor of the event that you put on is really a special kind of experience I would love to share with everyone. I hope seeing people laughing and dancing makes you just as happy. Thanks again everyone! I could not do it without you!
