Okay friends and family, I need some help. Some of you know I hurt my arm a couple of weeks ago - I went and saw my orthopedic surgeon today, and he informed me that I do have a complete rupture/tear of my distal biceps tendon. He was actually amazed at how strong I am, and said that I cannot do anymore damage that has already been done. Having said that, he also said that over time, my other muscles could deteriorate and I would notice it later in life. My question is-would you get the surgery knowing that there is always a risk involved with infection, nerve damage, anesthesia, etc., add to that, I am strong without the repair. Any thoughts or advice would be very welcome!
