Okay, health update, and forgive me for boring you with this. I process verbally . To sum up, possibly, probably, not dire. So, I was increasingly tired in August, and finally went in, and finally had a blood test in late September, and had severe anaemia. So I had a colonoscopy yesterday. The Psalmist David said the human body is fearfully and wonderfully, and looking at the interior of a colon on a screen was interesting, all those intricate patterns. Something was found that shouldnt have been found--a rather large polyp, like a mushroom, with an intricate pattern at its tip. A pretty pattern! Unfortunately, that intricate pattern, according to the endoscopist has a 10% chance of a malignancy. The size of the very large polyp also had a 10 % change of malignancy. So, he did not remove it--grrrr!!--but biopsied it. CT scan next week. Then 2 options, keyhole surgery, or removal of that section of the colon. I am praying I will be able to get away with the former. Also praying that all will be benign! Sadly, sadly, I have had the symptoms (random bleeding) for years, and hoped they would resolve themselves. And that was very, very stupid. The smaller polyps are the less likely they are to be cancerous. And so I must forgive myself, and I do. I am not God, I am human. And humans are often stupid. As I have been saying this summer, Linneaus needed one more classification, Homo Stupidus. To which, in this instance, I belong. I will be most grateful for your prayers that my invader, the polyp, is benign, and can be remove by keyhole surgery. Thank you
