Okay, if youve been on Facebook today youve probably seen the image of the bride who walked down the aisle with her 1 month old asleep on the train of her gown. I think it was a sweet gesture to include the baby by nestling it beautifully on her train. Im sure she wasnt expecting people to attach words like dragging, accessory, afterthought, left behind etc, to this method of putting the baby in the wedding. Think of it this way, if she had staged a picture of her newborn asleep on her train as a posed wedding picture, we would all probably be just fine with it and think it was cute. I think this is what she was probably going for. No harm or neglect intended. Looking back on it, yeah, it was sort of a tacky way to include her child, and she probably wasnt even thinking about the numerous ways this could be misinterpreted or looked upon in a bad light. But I think we can all stop calling her a child abuser and I dont think its necessary for CYS to intervene. People just need to calm down.
