Okay now guys ive seen this video quite a bit lately and my question is this: how is teaching a bunch of 7-9 year olds its acceptable to curse conducive to the future of females? Regardless of this videos message, it sets an example that fosters acceptance of young women speaking in a way that would logically lead to anyone to perceiving them negatively, regardless of their gender. It also demonizes the men by precluding the possibility that females play just as active a role in the shaping of societal norms as males do. This is my problem with mainstream feminism. Women, If you are going to solve the problems with societies perceptual disposition towards you, you have to be comprehensive about the problems that your being faced with. In medicine, attempting to treat the symptoms of illness as opposed to treating the source of the problem can create side effects that perpetuate illness. This is no different, so get real. If were going to make videos addressing feminism, maybe its best that we dont do so by corrupt the vocabulary of a bunch of seven year olds in the process. It might also help to stop addressing masculinity as the main source of problem when half of society is comprised of females who do enough on their own to perpetuate these un-desirable social norms. Equality hinges on respect, compassion and love for your fellow human being. If we spent more effort on refurbishing those values feminism wouldnt exist in the first place. rant over....
