Okay so I am really confused. For those that have or are going to these protests is it so your voice is heard to the people or for the government? Because I cant understand what shutting down the staten island expressway accomplishes. Does it make everyone stop and think? does it show the government that we the people are able to band together and get things done? I have no problem with peaceful protests and think its great that people are standing up for what they believe in but this is just getting ridiculous. And these two instances that have everyone in a frenzy what about the other problems? Why arent you also bringing attention to the things wrong with this country that can help actually change things? Like this ridiculous excise tax in Massachusetts, paying a certain amount depending on how much your car is worth to drive on the roads? Or our health insurance that seems to be more of a joke then anything else. I really want to understand why we are fighting each other when so much around us is falling apart.
