Okay, so I have taken on a very driven client who has mildly arthritic wrists (she has been cleared for physical activity and does not have carpal tunnel and is in her 20s)....she does well with most of what we do, but sometimes she deals with grip issues because of the stiffness and pain. I am wondering if any of you think she ought to do any of the grip strength exercises I would use for anyone else (squeezing a firm rubber ball, farmers walks, plate pinches, etc). As I said, for the most part, she does well. We have not had much of an issue, but there are exercises that need modified due to her wrists. Understanding I am no physical therapist, that would be stepping into the wrong scope of practice, I only want to know if it is possible to improve her wrists in this condition. Thanks!
