Okay so I love my HTC One phone. Its pretty reliable, fast, easy to use, has very clear graphics and has great, front facing speakers. However, last week it decided to play iPhone and the screen shattered. The phone is over a year old and has been used heavily but we have geek squad protection. We went in and showed them the phone/ They ordered a replacement and VOLUNTEERED to move my stuff from the old one to the new one. Today we took it in about 11 am. After an hour or so they asked if we wanted to come back - turns out this old grandma has too much stuff on her phone. We went back at 3. Not ready. 2 more hours please. We went back at 5. Not ready. Maybe we could take it over to the cell phone dept where they have a machine to xfer info. Yeah, that might work for 2 or 3 hundred pics. Not all my other stuff. So the sim card is back in my phone which is hooked up to my desktop where EVERYTHING is being saved on that hard drive. Tomorrow well take the old one back in to have its memory wiped and exchanged for the new one. I will say this - despite the frustration, every single one of the people we talked to was polite, respectful and sympathetic. I remain hopeful that the sun will come out tomorrow and I will once again, have a functional phone.
