Okay... some of you may think Im a total cheeseball for sharing this but I dont care. Ive been thinking a lot the last week about what my ONE LITTLE WORD will be for 2015. If you dont know what thats all about then message me. But seriously... so many things the last few weeks have had me focused on the human spirit, relationships, and connections with people. How when it all comes down to it in this life... thats all that really matters. When I was a kid growing up and did babysitting for people... my mom used to tell me over and over when I would head out the door for a job to Leave the house better than you found it. This has stuck with me over the years and it is REALLY good advice for people too!! When you meet people or establish friendships whether short term or long term... You should ALWAYS leave people better than you find them. Okay... so heres the cheesy part.... I love Taylor Swift... there I said it. Hate her music if you want to but shes an amazing human being. As a parent I WATCH things from a different perspective. I watch and pay attention to people and their motives. If you can watch this video with TS and not shed a tear youre stronger than I am. It spoke to my heart as I watched her CONNECTIONS to her fans as humans... each with a story. Theres so many celebrities out there that would rather write a check then go through the effort of building connections like this girl does. As I am blessed with more as I work hard... I cannot wait until I am in a position to give back and touch lives in even BIGGER ways than I currently do but until then.... CONNECTION is my word. Thats what Im focusing on this year.
