Okay, surgery update. I am scheduled (tentatively because every surgery date is tentative) for open heart surgery to replace my aortic arch and possibly my aortic valve on Nov. 24 at the Cleveland Clinic. I will go in the week before for pre-operative tests and consultations. Yes, they moved my date up. Originally we thought it would be in December, but, since theres a concern that the aorta may give out at some point in the near future, its probably just as well they get to this sooner. And Im confirmed in my decision to go to Cleveland by my local doc, who tells me that most hospitals dont have a lot of experience with this particular procedure, but Cleveland does, so yay for that. All of you have been so wonderfully supportive. I know I am going into this held up by a beautiful web of well-wishes, prayers, and kind thoughts. It means a lot. Thank you so much.
