Okay there is one thing that has grown over time into the most aggravating of all statements to hear since I have had weight loss surgery. When people say you did it the easy way, Im having to do it the hard way If you havent had weight loss surgery there is no explaining that nothing about it is easy. Its not magic its a tool. You still have to eat right, exercise, and make healthier choices all around. You also have to learn how to eat and what to eat all over again. There are things I once enjoyed that I cant eat at all now due to it making me sick. Its mentally and physically challenging and not something anyone enters into lightly. In my case I was desperate to lose weight and get healthier. I tried so many times to lose on my own. At my most dedicated, eating healthy, and exercising seven days a week I only lost 50 lbs on my own. Which may seem like a lot to some but when you have well over 100 to lose it can be so frustrating. Since having my sleeve there have been times that I have hated it and questioned why in the world I had it. It isnt a diet that you can just skid off the rails and get back on its a lifestyle change. However the days I can walk further faster, breathe better, keep up with my kids, and wear clothes that make me feel great makes every struggle of the past 4 months worth it. What my long drawn out story is meant to say is if you know what the struggle is like dont judge someone because they reached out and grabbed a life line available to them. At 28 years old my surgeon told me after my surgery in my room that had I not had the surgery I wouldnt have lasted 10 more years my health was so bad. I didnt choose the easy way I chose to live. So even though our paths maybe different cant we just support each other in achieving the ultimate goal which is losing the weight and getting healthy?
