Old Time Joke #45, Flavour Of Punjab Lala BM Singh, Brij Mohan Singh, also known as Bahut Mota Singh, had a Lassi, Dudh and Makhan shop in Amritsar, which did such a booming business that he became very rich. Thats the time someone suggested that rather than moving around in chappals and phate huye sandals, he should buy proper shoes. He, therefore, went with his huge tonde (tummy) to Bata shop. With great difficulty he got down on the bench and the salesman started trying various shoes on him. BM Singh couldnt see down because his tonde came in the way. So he was merely feeling his feet as they fitted into various shoes. And hed say: BMS: Eh tight hai; hore dikha. The salesman tried various sizes and every time BM Singh said: Eh tight hai. Finally, BM Singh tried one and it was very comfy and he exclaimed, Eh theek hai. Comfortable lagg reha hai. Salesman: Maharaj, thalle dekho; tussi dabba hi paa leya hai.
