Muscat: The Directorate General of Meteorology and Air Navigation (DGMAN) has again warned of unstable weather, which may cause moderate to heavy rainfall in some areas starting from Thursday evening to Sunday. Winds will be moderate to strong, causing rising dust and dirt in some areas and may lead to low visibility with high waves in the sea. People going out in the sea have been warned to be cautious, a senior official said. This low-pressure system has led to heavy rain in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar and Bahrain causing infrastructure damage and human losses. DGMAN has also called for motorists to use extreme caution on slippery roads and on the areas where there is low-visibility and refrain from venturing into wadis which are prone to flash floods. The rains will also bring down the temperature significantly in some areas of Oman, the official added.
