On 16 October, the ABC broadcast refugee advocates claims that a woman detained on Nauru was expecting twins. Scott Morrisons office declined to comment. Five days later, Scott Morrison said it was not true. Now we find that (1) the woman had been told she was having twins (2) she was flown to Brisbane on 17 October. (3) scan done in Brisbane revealed it was not twins. Scott Morrison was technically correct, at that moment, five days after the story was broadcast. Scott Morrison is still a liar, lying by omission. This is why we always need to question the fine print, the footnotes, the unexplained gaps in the story.
