On 7/16/2013, the former mayor of Futaba town, Idogawa held a campaign speech for the election in Shinjuku. In the speech, he stated, “On 3/3/2011, Japanese government knew earthquake and Tsunami were going to hit Japan. However, Japanese government, Tepco, Tohoku Electric Power Co., Inc. and The Japan Atomic Power Company stopped the information published.” Probably he was addressing Headquarters for Earthquake Research Promotion (Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology). They were making the report about the potential mega earthquake, but those three power companies to own nuclear plants demanded to amend the original report to be less “warning”. The original report has not been published. The draft amendment has not been published either. The reason is “due to 311 effect”. Detailed reason is still concealed.
