On 7th March, H.E Uhuru was declared the President elect. On that - TopicsExpress

On 7th March, H.E Uhuru was declared the President elect. On that day Ruto wept and Raila composed a new song, “Hata nikiwekwa pingu sitarudi nyuma.” Central province ran around Mt. Kenya shaking hips and thanking Ngai Nyaga who is said to live in a bedsitter there. Meanwhile Nyanza ran around Lake Victoria, washing their tears in the Lake. That’s Kenyan politics. If somebody in fact told me to define Kenyan Politics, I will poke my nose and answer with one word: They are Tribal. Now about the Man who became president, H.E Kenyatta Junior. There are a few things I have come to like about him. Here we go. The dressing code of the guy is outstanding and impressive. He matches the shirts, the eyes and the ties fine. Strident shirts and admirable shoes are his emblem. In that case I will appreciate the guy who brands his clothes. But there is a problem because the tailor is not the one who dresses him. But even then I won’t credit the sophistication to Uhuru but to his wife. The first lady seems to have a flavor and a taste in fashion. Though the first lady herself rarely goes to a salon but to a barber for a regular haircut, she ensures that our president is dressed elegantly, having a whiff of excellence and insolent to the bits. Second on my list is this man’s grammar, eloquence and charisma whenever he mounts behind the podiums to address. He proceeds in clarity of articulateness and soberness in front of masses. Compare that to how Moi used to croak before mumbling out something outmoded or how Mzee Kibaki was monotonous, reading speeches with a boring dullness before calling the audience mavi ya kuku( and imagine buggers would clap for him after he insults them(stupidity is indeed painful)). In the spirit of Pesa mashinani, I will also not accord the credit to H.E Uhuru but to the teachers who taught him English. I will in fact thank debate clubs for cultivating in him charisma. If it were not for them, he would be speaking like a mixture of Wakoli and Duale. Lastly I adore the way the fourth president humbles himself before God. I saw him kneel as Pastors prayed for him during inauguration. I have seen him do it again and again. I actually feel guilty because here is a President kneeling humbly before God, and I, a form four failure who struggles to earn a living, dwelling in a multipurpose shanty at kia*bu and I can’t remember the last time I knelt before God in public. God uplifts the humble and it is true. Therefore I must appreciate his Sunday school teacher instead because she must be the one who taught him to humble himself. Safe journey to Netherlands Sir. Na ugotee Arap Sang na umwambie we still remember him ( okay I am kidding we dont. )
